ROAD TRANSPORTATION

The base of the transportation framework is an inner circle around its centre.   From the stated system, routes continue in the direction of the present main routes of roads of first and second class and they create radial – round system.

An inner city circle complements the external bypass of the city, the south-east part of which is built.  Currently the construction of northern part of bypass is in progress and building of southern part of it is preparing. Realization of this investment will caused reduction of traffic on inner city roads and will improve connection of roads I/51 from  Nitra and  II/504 to Modra as well as connection to industrial zones of the city.

Construction of  new industrial parks is indirectly  effects also building of  roads in new residential zones.

Static transportation

Parking in the city centre is regulated by an obligation to pay tax for using of public space with  possibility to park free of charge in the stop parking lots on the city´s radius.

In the near future the city will progressively build parking houses by use of public or private financial sources which considerably improve situation in the field  of static transport. Parking policy come out from General traffic city plan will include concrete activities.
